HYL-102 Hall Velocity Meter

Brief Introduction

 HYL-102 Hall velocity meter is designed and produced in accordance with the provisions of the national standard GB 1482-84. This device is suitable for determining the fluidity of metal powders by the standard funnel method. Any powder that can flow freely through a standard funnel with a pore size of 2.5mm can be used to test the loose density of the powder with a 5.0mm funne.

I. Principle

The fluidity of the metal powder is expressed in terms of the time. It's calculating the flowing duration of 50 g metal powder to flow through a standard funnel.
 

II. Instrument Structure

2.1  Funnel (small hole diameter 2.5mm)
The funnel, which is made of stainless steel, has enough wall thickness and hardness to prevent deformation or overwear.
2.2  Stands, bases, and receivers
Stands are applied to secure the funnel. The base is applied to fix the stands and receiver. Please ensure the stand stable without vibration, by adjusting horizontally and the height of the stand, then secure the funnel to the stand with the spanner attached. The receiver (stainless steel disc) is placed on the base and is used to collect the powder.
2.3  Balance (prepared by user)

2.4  Stopwatch
The measurement time: accurate to 0.01s
2.5 Measuring cup
The unit is equipped with a stainless steel measuring cup with a volume of 25ml. The user can refer to the provisions of the national standard GB 1479-84 to complete the determination of the loose density of metal powder (funnel method).
